MARDAN, September 11, 2026: A monitoring and inspection visit was conducted on September 10 and 11 to review the progress and quality of development works being carried out in the Mardan Wildlife Division under the 10 Billion Trees Tsunami Programme (10BTAP) and Upscaling of the Green Pakistan Programme, Revival of Wildlife Resources in Pakistan (Wildlife Component).
The inspection team visited a number of wildlife facilities and development sites, including the Topi Wildlife Check Post in Topi, Baja Wildlife Park in Swabi and Kund Park, to assess the implementation of the ongoing project interventions.
During the visit, the team inspected both ongoing and completed development works and assessed the physical progress of various interventions. The condition and functionality of wildlife facilities were also reviewed to determine whether the work was being carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications and required standards.
The monitoring exercise aimed to ensure effective implementation of the project and identify any areas requiring further attention or improvement.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen wildlife conservation infrastructure, improve facilities for wildlife management and support the sustainable protection of natural resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The inspection highlighted the department’s continued focus on transparency, quality implementation and effective utilisation of development resources while working to improve wildlife facilities and strengthen conservation efforts across the province.
