LAHORE: Member of the European Parliament JUDr. Ondřej Dostál visited Punjab Climate Watch, where he was briefed on the Punjab government’s ongoing climate action initiatives and environmental protection measures.
During the visit, Secretary Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EP&CCD), Silwat Saeed, and Director General Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, Syed Musa Raza, provided a comprehensive overview of the province’s efforts to address climate change, strengthen environmental governance, and promote sustainable development.
The briefing highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Punjab government to improve environmental quality, enhance climate resilience, and implement policies aimed at reducing pollution and protecting natural resources.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on climate governance, environmental sustainability, and the importance of international cooperation in addressing the growing challenges posed by climate change.
Officials reaffirmed Punjab’s commitment to advancing climate action through innovative policies, strengthened institutional capacity, and collaborative partnerships to build a cleaner, greener, and more climate-resilient future.
