LAHORE (Feb 12, 2026): The University of the Punjab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, to digitize student fee payments through Raast Dynamic QR (DQR).
The agreement makes Punjab University the first public sector university in the country to adopt Zindigi’s Raast Dynamic QR solution. Around 49,000 students are expected to benefit from the system, which allows instant digital payments and reduces the need for physical visits and manual processing.
Digital shift in university payments
Through the Raast DQR system, students will be able to pay their fees securely using Pakistan’s instant payment infrastructure, developed under the oversight of the State Bank of Pakistan. Officials said the move will simplify transactions for students and parents while improving operational efficiency within the university.

Zindigi representatives described the initiative as part of broader efforts to expand digital financial services across institutional sectors, including education.
Chief Business Officer Atif Ishaque said the integration of Raast Dynamic QR would provide a faster and more secure payment experience, supporting the country’s transition toward digital financial systems.
Institutional modernization
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said the digitization of fee payments reflects the university’s commitment to modernization and service improvement. He noted that secure and seamless digital transactions would enhance convenience for students and guardians alike.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the State Bank of Pakistan – Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC), the University of the Punjab, and Zindigi.
Officials said the partnership supports national objectives aimed at promoting cashless transactions and strengthening digital infrastructure within public sector institutions.
