The Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) hosted a delegation from the Army Command and Staff College Nepal on January 20, focusing on the expanding role of aerospace power in modern warfare and evolving regional security dynamics.
The engagement underscored the increasing importance of the aerial domain in contemporary and future conflicts, alongside the need for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Nepal in strategic studies and defence education.
Welcoming the delegation, President CASS Javaid Ahmed highlighted the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and Nepal. He noted that bilateral cooperation has steadily expanded across multiple sectors, including defence and professional military education.
He further emphasised institutional ties between the armed forces of both countries, characterised by professional exchanges, collaboration, and shared learning. He also referred to Pakistan and Nepal’s constructive engagement within the SAARC framework to promote regional stability.
The visit included presentations on key findings from CASS research as well as briefings on future aerospace developments. An interactive discussion followed, covering emerging technologies, aerospace security challenges, and shifting regional dynamics.
Both sides also explored prospects for future collaboration between CASS and the Nepal Army Command and Staff College, particularly in joint research and academic exchanges.
