Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team at General Headquarters on Monday, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The meeting was held following Pakistan’s victory in the Asia Cup Men’s Under-19 tournament. The army chief met players, team management, and officials and discussed their performance during the event.
Focus on discipline and professionalism
During the interaction, the army chief spoke about the importance of discipline, teamwork, and maintaining professional standards as the players continue their cricketing careers.
Youth contribution to national progress discussed
He also highlighted the role of youth in the country’s future, noting that young people’s skills and conduct play a part in Pakistan’s development and international representation.
Members of the Under-19 team thanked the army chief for the meeting and said the interaction was encouraging for them.
