The Karachi administration has decided to take action against illegal and dangerous billboards installed in the city.
The commissioner in Karachi has directed deputy commissioners to form special teams to crack down on illegal billboards.
A meeting of Deputy Commissioners led by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi took a decision that could help save people’s lives from potential risk due to heavy monsoon and strong winds.
According to the report, 20 billboards were identified in the southern and eastern districts and it was decided to remove 9 billboards in the central district and six in Korangi through immediate action.
