Popular actor Sheheryar Munawar has finally addressed the swirling rumors about his possible marriage with co-star Maheen Siddiqui.
“Alhamdulillah I am grateful. I am very grateful. I am happy. “We have exciting times ahead of us and I would like to ask everyone to pray for us. I feel, as I mentioned earlier, that I want this to be a very personal experience for both of us… and private.”
On the other hand, in clips of an old interview that went viral, Munawar also reflected on social issues. According to Munawar, boys are taught not to cry or express pain, which leads to emotional detachment and sometimes abusive behavior as adults.
“When men are forced to hide their pain, they often become violent and can contribute to domestic violence,” he explained. He pointed out that this emotional suppression begins in childhood and continues into adulthood, when men are expected to be stoic and resilient, even during trying times.
Sheheryar also touched on the significant responsibility placed on men, which he says prevents them from expressing their true emotions and leads to deep-rooted problems.
Next, Munawar addressed the less discussed issue of women oppressing men. He stated that the oppression men face at the hands of women, although often unspoken, is harsh and sometimes unimaginable.
“There are many cases of women oppressing men in ways that are rarely discussed,” he noted.
