ABBOTTABAD: The passing-out parade of the 89th Forest Guard Course was held at Forest School Thai, Abbottabad, where officials stressed the importance of trained human resources in protecting forests, wildlife and the province’s natural resources amid growing environmental challenges.
Addressing the ceremony, Pir Musawir Khan said that developing a skilled workforce was essential to effectively respond to the growing challenges posed by climate change.
He emphasised that trained personnel were particularly important for the protection and sustainable management of forests and wildlife, noting that Forest Guards and Wildlife Watchers were playing a vital role in safeguarding the province’s natural resources.
Pir Musawir Khan congratulated the young trainees who successfully completed the 89th Forest Guard Course and appreciated their commitment to acquiring the skills required for field duties.
Certificates and awards were distributed among successful Forest Guards and Wildlife Watchers in recognition of their performance during the training programme.
He urged the newly trained personnel to perform their responsibilities with dedication and contribute actively to the protection, conservation and expansion of forests.
“Everyone has to play their part collectively for the promotion and protection of forests,” Pir Musawir Khan said, stressing the need for coordinated efforts to preserve the province’s natural environment for future generations.
He added that the Forest Department would continue organising training programmes to strengthen the professional capacity of its workforce and equip personnel with the knowledge and skills required to address emerging environmental and climate-related challenges.
The passing-out ceremony marked another step towards strengthening the field workforce responsible for forest protection, wildlife conservation and sustainable management of natural resources across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
