RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi continued its revenue recovery campaign on Sunday, disconnecting water connections of multiple defaulters as part of efforts to improve revenue collection and achieve the agency’s prescribed recovery targets.

The operation was carried out on the directives of Managing Director WASA Rawalpindi Aziz Ullah Khan and under the supervision of Director Finance and Revenue Tahir Bashir Mirza. The Revenue Directorate remained active even on Sunday and took action against consumers with outstanding dues.

The campaign aims to accelerate revenue recovery and strengthen WASA’s financial position by ensuring timely payment of outstanding bills.

MD WASA Aziz Ullah Khan said that WASA is a self-sustaining institution and relies on its own resources to maintain and improve essential water and sanitation services. He stressed that negligence in the revenue recovery campaign would not be tolerated.

He made it clear that the operation against defaulters would continue until the last outstanding account is addressed.

The ongoing campaign reflects WASA Rawalpindi’s efforts to improve financial sustainability, strengthen revenue collection and ensure the availability of resources for better public services.
