LAHORE: A delegation from the Consulate of Türkiye visited the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EPCCD) and Punjab Climate Watch to learn about Punjab’s ongoing environmental protection and climate initiatives.
Secretary Environment Protection and Climate Change Department Silwat Saeed briefed the delegation on the province’s climate-related initiatives, environmental protection measures and efforts to promote sustainability.
During the visit, the delegation was also informed about the role of young people in addressing environmental challenges and building a sustainable and climate-resilient Punjab.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information on climate action and environmental initiatives, while highlighting the importance of cooperation and knowledge-sharing in addressing climate and environmental challenges.
The engagement also underscored the growing importance of youth participation in promoting environmental awareness, sustainable practices and climate resilience across Punjab.
