The government has announced generous bonuses for Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officials.
Each eligible worker will receive a bonus equal to three basic salaries, according to a letter sent to the provincial election commissioner.
The decision of the ECP is a reward for the dedication and hard work of the officials and their employees in conducting the Election smoothly and efficiently.
However, the ECP’s letter indicates that officers currently conducting departmental reviews or participating in service tribunals or the judicial system will not be eligible for this award. This measure ensures that only those with a clean service record are eligible for the award.
The latest increase follows two major salary hikes given to ECP officials who served in the general elections in February this year.
According to the rules of the Ministry of Finance, no institution is allowed to distribute more than five bonuses to its employees in a financial year.
Earlier, Chief Electoral Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja thanked the European Union officials, officials and local governments for their efforts to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process. He emphasized his role in ensuring a smooth transition of power from the watchdog to the newly elected government and emphasized the importance of his work in supporting democracy.
