Pakistani showbiz industry’s popular host and actress, Nadia Khan, has revealed the reason behind her early marriage.
In a recent show, Nadia spoke about her first marriage at a young age. She clarified that there was no pressure from her parents regarding the marriage, but rather, it was her own decision. She said, “My own mind was disturbed at the time. I made a hasty decision and it was my own fault.”
She added that her father was against her decision to marry, advising her to focus on her career first. However, Nadia believed that the environment around her influenced her thinking. “At that time, everyone around me seemed to be getting married, and I felt left out. I had no experience to understand that just because you fall in love with someone doesn’t mean your marriage will automatically be successful.”
Nadia described her marriage as a result of stubbornness and foolishness, admitting that she had a great career and was traveling the world at the time, but her mindset led her to make the decision. “It was completely my mistake. I could have avoided this marriage if I had listened to my parents,” she said.
She also shared that her mother had even dreamt that the marriage wasn’t right for her, and her father’s main objection was that she was too young, being only 20 at the time.
Nadia concluded by saying, “I regretted the marriage for a long time, but the most beautiful thing that came out of it was my children.”
