RAWALPINDI: A terror attempt at Adiala Jail has been foiled, police have arrested three suspected terrorists.
According to details, cooperation between the police and the counter-terrorism department led to the arrest of three people suspected of terrorism.
Along with the arrests, authorities seized a significant cache of weapons, including firearms, ammunition and a detailed map of Adiala Prison.
Syed Khalid Hamdani, Chief Police Officer (CPO) of Rawalpindi, emphasized the seriousness of the situation and emphasized that the operation had potentially foiled a major disaster at Adiala Jail.
According to Hamdani’s arrest, they are from Afghanistan. Among the items seized from their possession were hand grenades, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and automatic firearms. The suspects have since been moved to a secure facility for further investigation.
Hamdani also highlighted the continued efforts of law enforcement agencies, including the police, in conducting thorough search operations in and around Adiala Prison to ensure the safety and security of the area.
