Student from Islamia University of Bahawalpur shines at Pakistan Water Week

Muntaha Amjad, BS Environmental Sciences, Institute of Agro Industry and Environment, the IUB, won Second Prize of Rs. 50,000/- prize money in a national level essay writing competition “Climate Impact on Water Resources of Pakistan” on occasion of ‘Pakistan Water Week’. The event was organized by Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources in collaboration with International Water Management Institute, UNICEF and partners, at a national workshop held at Pak-China Friendship Center, Islamabad.

Vice-Chancellor IUB, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar congratulated Muntaha Amjad on this achievement and appreciated the efforts of the students of the IUB to create awareness about Pakistan’s environment-related issues and encouraged the students to grow more. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Director Institute of Agro Industry and Environment Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hasan Abbasi along with In-charge Student Affairs Dr. Muhammad Ali and Dr. Farheen Nazli gave the check of the cash prize check to the awardee student.
