Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) has given permission to University College of Nursing, IUB to start MS Nursing classes. In this regard, Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) has initially approved 20 seats for MS Nursing. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has already approved the IUB for MS Nursing. Vice Chancellor of the IUB Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar has congratulated Dean Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Rao Saeed Ahmed, Principal University College of Nursing Dr. Farhan Mukhtar and students on this extraordinary achievement. He said that the launch of MS Nursing in the IUB is definitely a great success.

The Vice Chancellor also thanked the Chairman HEC and PNMC in this regard.
It is noteworthy that the IUB has established a Nursing College with modern facilities and qualified faculty for nursing education. This college is offering an international level graduate degree program of BS Nursing. Now with the launch of MPhil classes, this college has gained a unique status in Pakistan. There is a huge demand for graduate nursing in Pakistan and worldwide and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has become the only general sector university to provide trained manpower in the field of nursing.
