FATEH JANG: A new solar-powered water filtration facility has been inaugurated in Sadkal, Fateh Jang, Punjab, bringing improved access to clean drinking water for thousands of local residents.
Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), through its corporate social responsibility initiative, implemented the Solar-Based Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filtration Plant in collaboration with CDRS.
The facility is expected to serve more than 5,000 people living in Sadkal and surrounding areas, where communities have faced water shortages and difficulties in accessing safe drinking water.
Powered by solar energy, the RO plant provides a sustainable approach to meeting an essential community need while using renewable energy to operate the water treatment facility.
The project is expected to make clean drinking water more accessible to local families and support better health and living conditions in the area.
The initiative also demonstrates how renewable energy can be combined with basic public services to develop practical and sustainable solutions for communities facing water challenges.
