Sarfaraz Ahmed has expressed optimism about Mohammad Amir’s potential impact on Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Sarfaraz highlighted Amir’s consistent performance over the past two years and emphasized that wherever he played, his team excelled.
“In the last two years, wherever Amir played cricket, his team performed well,” Sarfaraz said.
“Amir and Sohail Khan are both new ball and old ball experts. We hope Amir proves profitable for Quetta Gladiators,” he added.
Sarfaraz took aim at newly elected Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi and praised his previous role as Punjab’s caretaker chief minister. He congratulated Naqvi and expressed confidence that he will contribute significantly to the improvement of Pakistan cricket.

“I want to congratulate Mohsin Naqvi for becoming the PCB Chairman. He has done a great job as the caretaker CM of Punjab in the last year and a half. I hope he will do great service for Pakistan cricket,” he said. he said.
Sarfaraz went on to praise the Pakistan U19 team despite their narrow defeat to Australia in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
“The U19s played fantastic throughout the tournament. Losing the semi-final against Australia because of the inside four is part of the game,” he said.
