A 24-year-old Russian tourist and actress, Kamila Bilyatskaya, tragically drowned after being caught by a large wave while practicing yoga on the popular tourist island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
According to foreign media reports, Kamila was filming a video while sitting on her yoga mat, enjoying the beautiful sea views of Thailand, when a large wave swept her away. A video of the incident has also been released, which has gone viral on social media. In the video, Kamila can be seen struggling to save herself as she is engulfed by the wave. It is reported that an eyewitness attempted to rescue her but was unsuccessful.
Kamila was a resident of Novosibirsk, Russia, and was visiting Koh Samui with her boyfriend. She loved the place and often referred to it as her ‘home’ and ‘the best place in the world’ in her social media posts.
This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise when venturing too close to natural landscapes. Local authorities have issued a warning to tourists to remain cautious in such hazardous conditions.
