LAHORE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain at most places in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while Karachi may receive light drizzle during the night.
According to the Met Department, Karachi’s weather is expected to remain partly cloudy today, with sunshine and clouds alternating throughout the day. Light drizzle is likely at a few places during the night.
The city recorded a temperature of 28°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 34°C. The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.9°C.
Winds are blowing from the southwest at around 4 km/h, with humidity recorded at 77 percent. Air quality in Karachi remains satisfactory, with pollutant levels below 100 particulate matter.
Meanwhile, Islamabad is expected to remain hot and dry, with no rainfall forecast for the federal capital today. The temperature is likely to rise to 36°C.
The morning temperature in Islamabad was recorded at 25°C, with further warming expected during the day. Winds are expected to blow at around 7 km/h, while humidity remains above 55 percent.
The weather pattern reflects contrasting conditions across the country, with rain expected in northern and mountainous regions while major cities such as Karachi and Islamabad continue to experience relatively warm conditions.
