Punjab WASA Chief Directs 41 WASAs to Improve Revenue Collection and Service Delivery

LAHORE, September 8, 2026: Director General Punjab WASA Tayyab Farid has directed all 41 Water and Sanitation Agencies (WASAs) across Punjab to improve operational efficiency, accelerate revenue collection and strengthen civic service delivery.

He issued the directives while chairing a monthly review meeting at the Punjab WASA Head Office, which was attended by all Directors and Consultants.

During the meeting, the Director General conducted a detailed review of the performance of the agencies and stressed the need for greater efficiency and accountability in the delivery of essential municipal services.

Tayyab Farid directed the concerned officials to take concrete measures to accelerate revenue collection and improve financial performance across the WASAs. He also called for streamlining complaint management mechanisms to ensure that public grievances are addressed promptly and effectively.

The Director General emphasized that improving the quality and efficiency of civic services should remain a key priority, with WASAs expected to respond more effectively to the needs of citizens.

He further instructed the officials to raise overall performance standards and maintain close monitoring of operational activities. The directives are aimed at ensuring greater efficiency, accountability and improved service delivery throughout the province.

The monthly review meeting provided a platform to assess ongoing performance and identify areas requiring immediate improvement across Punjab’s WASA network.
