Shakargarh: In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary Forests Punjab and Director General Forests Punjab, the Punjab Forest Department has begun distributing uniforms among its officers and employees in the Sialkot Forest Division.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening the department’s professional identity and improving the visibility and operational effectiveness of its field staff.
Officials said the provision of uniforms is part of broader efforts to transform the Punjab Forest Department into a more organized and disciplined force capable of effectively protecting forests, green cover and natural resources across the province.
The uniformed field force is expected to play a more active role in forest protection, monitoring, prevention of illegal activities and conservation of Punjab’s green cover.
The department said further measures are also being taken to strengthen field operations and improve coordination among forestry officials and staff.
The initiative reflects the provincial government’s focus on enhancing forest protection and ensuring more effective management of Punjab’s natural resources.
