RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir chaired a meeting to review water resources and various development initiatives of the Punjab government in Rawalpindi.
The meeting was attended by the Managing Director of WASA, Chief Officer District Council and other relevant officials.
The participants reviewed the availability, conservation and efficient utilization of water resources in the district, with particular focus on ensuring the provision of clean drinking water to citizens and improving the existing water supply system.
The meeting also discussed measures to prevent water wastage and strengthen the management and conservation of available water resources. Progress on various public welfare initiatives launched by the Punjab government was also reviewed.
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir directed the concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of water-related projects and maintain effective monitoring of their implementation.
He stressed that water is a precious natural resource and called for a coordinated strategy to ensure its conservation, efficient use and sustainable management.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the relevant authorities to strengthen coordination and take practical measures to address water-related issues faced by citizens.
