Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) sign MoU for export growth

KARACHI: Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving digital trade services and supporting export growth through integrated online systems and data sharing.

The agreement, signed at TDAP headquarters in Karachi, focuses on modernising Pakistan’s trade ecosystem by simplifying export and import procedures, improving access to trade information and expanding the use of paperless trade tools for businesses.

Under the partnership, PSW and TDAP will work to integrate digital platforms including the Pakistan Trade Portal and Exporters Directory into the broader PSW system. The move is intended to provide exporters and importers with real-time access to regulatory information and trade-related services through a unified digital framework.

TDAP will support outreach efforts through its regional offices, trade associations and international business networks to encourage adoption of PSW’s digital services. The authority will also provide space for PSW participation at major trade exhibitions and business events.

The two organisations will also collaborate on trade data analysis to support evidence-based policy development and market research. According to the agreement, the partnership includes plans to develop export toolkits and compliance guidance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking access to international markets.

A key component of the MoU focuses on women-led businesses and digital inclusion. PSW and TDAP said they will coordinate initiatives to improve export readiness among women entrepreneurs, including participation in international exhibitions and trade delegations under TDAP programmes.

PSW Chief Executive Officer Aftab Haider said the collaboration aims to support a more connected and inclusive trade environment while improving digital services for exporters and importers.

The agreement also includes joint training sessions and capacity-building programmes for TDAP officers on digital trade systems and regulatory updates.
