Most Plains to Remain Hot and Humid, Partly Cloudy Conditions Expected in Northern Areas: PMD

ISLAMABAD, August 25, 2026: Most plain areas of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather during the next 24 hours, while partly cloudy conditions are likely to prevail over the northern regions, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country, while weak moist currents were entering the southern half of the country.

According to the weather outlook, most areas remained hot and humid during the past 24 hours. Lahore Airport and Kasur received 2mm of rainfall during the period.

The highest temperatures recorded on Tuesday were:

Nokundi: 43°C

Dalbandin: 43°C

Bhakkar: 42°C

Noorpur Thal: 42°C

Dadu: 42°C

The weather department advised citizens, particularly those in the hotter plains, to take necessary precautions against heat and humidity and remain updated on weather advisories.
