PC Hospitality participated in the World Economic Forum Travel, Tourism and Aviation governors meeting held alongside the Tourise platform in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where global hospitality and tourism leaders gathered to discuss the sector’s future direction.

The meeting brought together senior executives from international hotel groups, tourism stakeholders and policymakers to explore how the industry can move toward more sustainable, inclusive and community-oriented growth. Discussions were framed around the World Economic Forum’s newly introduced Principles for Transformative Tourism, which emphasise environmental responsibility, social inclusion and long-term economic value.

Organisers said the forum aimed to align global tourism strategies with evolving economic and environmental challenges, while encouraging cooperation between international brands and regional operators. Representatives from major hospitality groups, including Kempinski, Accor and Rotana, were among those in attendance.

PC Hospitality was part of the international delegation and contributed views on responsible development, particularly in emerging markets. The company highlighted the importance of strengthening local supply chains, investing in workforce skills and ensuring that tourism growth delivers tangible benefits to host communities.

Bastien Blanc, chief executive officer of PC Hospitality, said engagement at the forum reflected the company’s broader approach to sustainable hospitality. He noted that the industry has a responsibility to balance commercial growth with environmental protection and community development.

Emphasis on responsible growth

During the discussions, PC Hospitality outlined several areas of focus aligned with the forum’s objectives.
