Nowshera Youth Dialogue Puts Young People at Heart of Climate Action

NOWSHERA: The Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF), in collaboration with the District Youth Office Nowshera, District Administration Nowshera and Fixit Nowshera, organised the Nowshera Youth Climate Dialogue 2026 at Government Post Graduate College Nowshera.

The dialogue brought together students, youth representatives and educators to discuss the growing impacts of climate change and explore practical, community-led approaches to building more sustainable and resilient communities.

Focus on Youth-Led Climate Action

The session highlighted the importance of youth leadership, climate awareness, environmental responsibility, tree plantation and collective action in addressing climate-related challenges.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Nowshera Ijaz Akhtar attended the event as chief guest. In his remarks, he highlighted the District Administration’s efforts to address climate challenges through greater public awareness, institutional coordination and meaningful engagement with young people.

Speakers at the dialogue emphasised that young people have an important role in climate action and environmental protection. Participants exchanged ideas on practical ways youth can contribute to environmental initiatives and climate solutions at the community level.

Building Climate-Resilient Communities

Organisers said that equipping young people with knowledge, skills and opportunities to take meaningful action can contribute to stronger and more climate-resilient communities.

The Progressive Climate Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting youth-led climate action and providing platforms where young people can participate in environmental sustainability and climate resilience initiatives.
