KOHISTAN: A tree plantation campaign was organized at Government Primary School Afzal Abad and Government Primary School Muslimabad to promote a clean, green, and climate-resilient school environment under the “Empowering Children as Climate Leaders to Reduce Vulnerabilities through Education and Action” project.
The initiative brought together students, teachers, and the project team in a collective effort to plant saplings, encouraging young learners to actively participate in environmental conservation and climate action.
The activity aimed to instill a sense of environmental responsibility among children while highlighting the importance of protecting natural resources and creating sustainable communities. Participants were encouraged to nurture the planted saplings and serve as ambassadors for environmental stewardship within their schools and neighborhoods.
Organizers said the plantation drive reflects the project’s commitment to empowering children through climate education and practical action, enabling them to play a meaningful role in building a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient future.
They emphasized that every tree planted today contributes to improving biodiversity, enhancing environmental sustainability, and strengthening resilience against the impacts of climate change for future generations.
