ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF), accompanied by a delegation, visited the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), where he was briefed on the centre’s advanced capabilities for disaster preparedness and emergency response.
During the visit, NDMA officials briefed the delegation on NEOC’s role in multi-hazard monitoring, early warning, preparedness, coordination and emergency response across Pakistan. The briefing highlighted the use of modern systems and coordinated mechanisms to strengthen the country’s capacity to respond to natural and climate-related emergencies.
The visit also included a joint tree plantation drive, in which the FGRF Chairman participated alongside representatives of NDMA.
The activity reflected the shared commitment of both organizations towards environmental sustainability, climate resilience and disaster risk reduction.
The engagement provided an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between NDMA and FGRF, particularly in areas related to disaster preparedness, community resilience and environmental protection.
Both sides emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to build stronger, safer and more sustainable communities capable of better coping with increasing climate and disaster risks across Pakistan.
