Eight children succumbed to pneumonia in the last 24 hours in Punjab on Thursday.
According to the Punjab Health Department, 191 cases have been reported in Lahore. In January, 3342 cases were reported in Lahore.
Three children died of pneumonia in Bahawalpur. Two children lost their lives in Rawalpindi.
In addition, pneumonia claimed the lives of one child each in Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sheikhupura.

296 children died of pneumonia in Punjab last month.
Medical experts have urged parents to protect their children from the cold weather and stressed the need for pneumonia vaccinations.
