A UK citizen’s luxury SUV, which was claimed by the dealer to be theft-proof, was stolen just hours after purchase.
The customer, John, was assured by the dealer that his Range Rover SV 2024 Edition One, costing $227,000, could not be stolen. However, within 60 hours of bringing it home, the car was stolen from his driveway.
John, from Warwickshire, had bought the limited-edition SUV with high-tech features like music-reactive seats. Despite knowing about the rise in luxury car thefts, he was convinced by the dealer’s claim about Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) security upgrade, which turned out to be ineffective.
