DC Nadeem Nasir Reviews Healthcare, Clean Environment Projects In Kahuta

RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir on Thursday visited Tehsil Kahuta to review healthcare services, public service delivery, and the progress of ongoing development projects, reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to improving governance and public welfare.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Kahuta, Kahuta Bazar, the Municipal Committee, and the Assistant Commissioner’s Office.

At THQ Hospital, he toured various departments and interacted with patients and their attendants to receive first-hand feedback on the quality of healthcare services. He directed hospital staff to ensure patients are treated with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

Emphasising the importance of the health sector, Nadeem Nasir said providing quality medical services remains one of the Punjab government’s top priorities. He urged doctors and healthcare workers to continue serving the public with dedication, honesty, and commitment.

The deputy commissioner also reviewed the progress of the Kahuta Bazar Beautification Project, assessing the pace and quality of ongoing work. He directed the concerned authorities to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe so that residents could benefit from improved civic infrastructure without delay.

During visits to the Municipal Committee and the Assistant Commissioner’s Office, he evaluated the implementation of the Suthra Punjab Programme and other provincial development initiatives.

He noted that sanitation and cleanliness systems in both urban and rural areas were being upgraded under the Suthra Punjab initiative and described the results as encouraging. He appreciated the efforts of municipal staff and sanitation workers for maintaining cleanliness across the tehsil.

Speaking to the media after the visit, the deputy commissioner said the district administration is giving special attention to efficient public service delivery, improved governance, and the timely completion of development projects in accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He added that all ongoing development schemes are being monitored regularly to ensure citizens receive quality public services and modern civic facilities.
