A Canadian chicken has entered the Guinness Book of Records for recognizing different numbers, letters and colors.
Gabriola Island veterinarian Emily Carrington said she bought five chickens last year and started teaching them to recognize magnetic letters and numbers.
He explained that the task of the chicken was simply to touch the numbers or letters that were taught to recognize. Although other letters were introduced, the chickens only touched the ones they were trained to recognize.
One of Emily’s chickens, named Lucy, broke the Guinness Book of World Records by correctly identifying six numbers, letters and colors in one minute.
