CHAKWAL: Assistant Commissioner Chakwal conducted a detailed field visit to various parts of the city during rainfall to review the prevailing monsoon situation and arrangements for dealing with rain-related challenges.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner inspected the accumulation of rainwater along Talagang Road and directed teams of WASA and Suthra Punjab to ensure its timely drainage. The performance of field teams at different locations was also reviewed, with instructions issued to make operations more active and responsive.
The Assistant Commissioner subsequently inspected the Monsoon Emergency Camp at 15 Chowk, where the availability and operational condition of dewatering machines were reviewed. Officials were directed to ensure that the equipment remained ready for immediate deployment during heavy rainfall.

Taking notice of the issues, the Assistant Commissioner directed the concerned officials to take immediate corrective measures, improve cleanliness standards, ensure the availability of essential medicines and resolve all identified shortcomings without delay.
The Assistant Commissioner later attended an Independence Day ceremony at the e-Khidmat Markaz Chakwal, where he participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony, cake-cutting and a tree plantation activity.
