Breathe Better, Live Better: GREE Tackles Indoor Air Pollution

GREE air purifiers help reduce indoor air pollution in Pakistan

Islamabad — With smog and air pollution continuing to affect major cities, concerns over indoor air quality are rising. Research from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows that indoor air can be two to five times more polluted than outdoor air, as dust, smog particles, and allergens accumulate inside homes. This has made air purification an increasingly relevant issue for households in Pakistan.

GREE Introduces Models for Different Household Needs

GREE, represented in Pakistan by the DWP Group, has introduced air purifiers designed for both large and small living spaces.

  • The GA-350W1 model covers up to 35 square meters (375 sq. ft.) and uses a four-layer filtration system to remove pollutants. It has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 350 for particles and 200 for formaldehyde, powered by a Turbo Inverter Motor for efficient airflow.
  • The GA-170W1 model is intended for compact spaces such as bedrooms and study areas. It covers 20 square meters (215 sq. ft.) with a CADR of 100 CFM. Equipped with True HEPA and Activated Carbon Filters, it captures fine dust, PM2.5 particles, smoke, and odors. Operating at 32 decibels, it includes sleep mode, an 8-hour timer, and a digital PM2.5 display.

Statement from DWP Group

Rizwan Butt, Chief Operating Officer of the CE Division at DWP Group, said indoor air pollution has become a pressing concern during smog season, as families spend more time indoors. He noted that the air purifiers are intended to provide households with technology to improve indoor air quality.

Maintenance and Support Network

The DWP Care network provides nationwide access to replacement filters, which last between six to twelve months. This support system is designed to ensure consistent performance and ease of maintenance for users.

Indoor Air Quality Seen as Public Health Priority

As urban air quality continues to decline, experts emphasize that clean indoor air is increasingly viewed as a necessity rather than a luxury. The introduction of air purification technology by Gree is seen as one measure to reduce exposure to harmful particles and safeguard health in residential environments.
