On the directions of DFO Bajaur Wildlife Naveed Ali, Muhammad Zahir Shah, along with his team, organised an awareness session for local people and hunters.
During the session, participants were informed about wildlife laws, approved hunting procedures, hunting licences and permits, and other legal requirements that must be followed during the hunting season.
Wildlife officials also explained the importance of following prescribed rules to ensure that hunting activities remain within legal limits and do not threaten local wildlife populations.
Meanwhile, field staff carried out checks at different locations to verify hunters’ licences and other required documents. Officials also issued challans and took legal action where violations of wildlife laws were found.
The Bajaur Wildlife Department said its efforts are aimed at protecting wildlife, preventing illegal hunting and ensuring effective enforcement of wildlife laws.
The awareness campaign is also intended to encourage hunters and local communities to play their role in the responsible and sustainable use of wildlife resources.
