Climate Change Department Official Visits Ayubia National Park, Plants Sapling

ABBOTTABAD: Syed Habib ul Hassan Gilani, Additional Secretary (Admin), Climate Change, Forestry, Environment & Wildlife Department, visited Ayubia National Park and participated in a tree plantation activity during his visit.

Gilani planted a sapling at the Ayubia Guest House, highlighting the importance of expanding and protecting the region’s green cover.

SDFO Ayubia National Park Wasim Fida, along with field staff, accompanied the Additional Secretary during the visit and briefed him on activities related to the management and conservation of the national park.

The plantation activity underscored the importance of forest conservation, biodiversity protection and sustainable management of protected areas in the face of growing environmental and climate-related challenges.

The visit also reflected the department’s continued focus on strengthening conservation efforts and promoting plantation activities to protect the natural heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
