Ayubia National Park Issues Safety Advisory for Visitors Amid Risk of Falling Stones

DUNGA GALI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department has issued a public safety advisory for visitors to the Pipeline Track in Ayubia National Park following rainfall that caused stones and debris to fall at various locations along the popular hiking route.

According to the department, field staff are actively clearing fallen stones and debris from the track. However, amid recent rainfall and the possibility of further rockfalls, visitors have been urged to exercise extreme caution while walking along the route.

The department has advised visitors to obtain safety instructions and precautionary guidance from wildlife staff stationed at the Facilitation Centre/Souvenir Shop near the Pipeline Track’s starting point in Dunga Gali before beginning their walk.

Visitors entering the track from Ayubia have also been instructed to consult wildlife staff stationed near the Moto Tunnel at the starting point.

Hikers have been urged to follow all instructions issued by field staff and avoid areas where stones may fall. The department has stressed that visitors should prioritise their safety and cooperate with personnel working to keep the track clear and safe.

The Wildlife Department said it was making every possible effort to maintain the track and protect visitors, adding that public cooperation was essential to ensuring a safe visit to Ayubia National Park.

Visitors are advised to remain alert to changing conditions and follow official guidance before and during their hike.
