JHELUM: On the special directions of Deputy Commissioner Mirza Raza Ozgan, the Assistant Commissioner Sohawa carried out a series of field visits to review public service delivery, monsoon preparedness, and emergency response arrangements across the tehsil.
The Assistant Commissioner visited the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic in Phalray Syedan, where she inspected healthcare facilities and reviewed the quality of medical services being provided to patients.
She later visited Nala Gahan, Domeli, to assess the water flow and review flood preparedness measures. Officials from Rescue 1122 and other relevant departments were present on-site and remained on high alert to respond promptly to any emergency situation.
Following reports of a Mini Mazda traffic accident on the Main GT Road near Sohawa, the Assistant Commissioner immediately reached the site and monitored rescue and relief operations alongside officials of the Motorway Police and other concerned departments.
The Assistant Commissioner also inspected areas affected by rainwater accumulation in Dhok Amb and directed the relevant departments to formulate an immediate action plan to improve drainage and ensure effective rainwater disposal ahead of future monsoon spells.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining emergency preparedness, protecting public safety, and ensuring timely response to weather-related incidents across Jhelum.
