Leading TV artist Beena Chaudhry recently released a video message in which she expressed fear for her life after receiving death threats.
The ‘Romeo Weds Heer’ star said in a video message on her Instagram that she has been getting death threats continuously for several days from some people. She claimed that she was threatened with murder if she did not remain silent.
However, in her video message, she did not mention any names and motives for which she received death threats.
The actress, who has appeared in many dramas, told her fans that she could have faced an unpleasant incident at any time, and hence she made a video for social media to expose those who will be responsible for her death.
In 2020, filmmaker Sardmad Khoosat revealed that he had received threatening phone calls and messages before the release of his film “Zindagi Tamasha”, sparking controversy.
In a lengthy note on X – formerly Twitter – Khoosat clarified that his film does not contain objectionable content and has been cleared by the censor authorities.
However, the “Manto” actor refrained from naming the people who used pressure on him to stop the release of Zindagi Tamasha.
However, despite getting a release date, the Punjab government stopped the release of the film and it was delayed indefinitely to hit the theaters.
The film was finally released on August 4, 2023 on YouTube and won awards in Busan and the 2021 Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles.
