Wildlife Team Seizes Illegally Trapped Common Quails in Mohmand

MOHMAND: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department conducted a raid in the Tunahti Khel area of the Upper Range following credible information about the illegal trapping and keeping of common quails.

The raid was carried out on the instructions of the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Mohmand. During the operation, common quails were found in illegal possession and were confiscated on the spot.

The wildlife team took action under the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife and Biodiversity (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Act, 2015.

The operation reflects continued efforts by the Wildlife Department to prevent the illegal trapping and possession of wild birds and protect local wildlife populations.

Wildlife authorities have urged people to avoid illegal hunting, trapping and keeping of wild birds and to support efforts aimed at protecting biodiversity and natural habitats.
