RAWALPINDI, PAKISTAN — Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has achieved a landmark milestone in environmental sustainability and campus infrastructure by securing its position as Pakistan’s top women’s university in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. According to the newly released global standings comprising 2016 participating higher education institutions worldwide, FJWU ranked 2nd overall among all women’s universities globally and earned the premier No. 1 position among women’s institutions in the specialized “Setting and Infrastructure” category. Regionally, the university secured 358th place in Asia and climbed to 24th overall among all public and private higher education institutions across Pakistan.
Driven by its proactive “Sustainable Campus Initiatives,” the institution has demonstrated steady, continuous progress on the international stage, advancing from 835th out of 1,183 universities in 2023, to 734th in 2024, 663rd in 2025, and now reaching 612th globally out of 2016 competing universities in 2026.
