ISLAMABAD: The D-12 community organised a recognition ceremony to appreciate individuals and Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials for their contributions to the development of the area and efforts to address residents’ concerns.
The ceremony was held at a local restaurant in D-12 Markaz and was attended by senior CDA officials, prominent personalities and a large number of local residents.
The community appreciated the services of Director General Islamabad Water and City Sewerage Sardar Khan Zamri, particularly for his prompt response to water supply, sewerage and drainage issues in D-12 during recent rains.
Deputy Director General Environment-II Chaudhry Akhtar Rasool was also recognised for his efforts towards the maintenance of parks, tree plantation and environmental improvement in the area.
The community also appreciated City Sewerage representative Shehbaz Gill for his quick response to residents’ complaints and continued cooperation in resolving civic issues.
The event was hosted by Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Azam Khan, who was thanked for his efforts in organising and coordinating the ceremony.
At the conclusion of the event, appreciation shields were presented to the guests in recognition of their services and contributions to the D-12 community.
Community representatives said that while it was important to raise public issues, recognising and encouraging those working for the betterment of the community was equally important.
They thanked all guests, CDA officials and residents for their participation and reaffirmed their commitment to building a better D-12.
