FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to promote environmental sustainability through a structured tree plantation initiative under the Green Pakistan Campaign.
The agreement was signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali and FGRF Vice Chancellor Dr. Danish Iqbal Godil. Their focal persons, Prof. Dr. Shoukat Ali and Muhammad Faisal Majeed, were also present.
Prof. Dr. Waseem Akram, Director of Student Affairs at UAF; Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Rana, Director of External Linkages; and Muhammad Saleem Raza, Divisional Head Faisalabad at FGRF, also attended the ceremony.
Under the collaboration, both organisations will work together on tree plantation, environmental awareness and related activities. The partnership will also include training sessions, seminars and programmes for UAF students, with a focus on morality, ethics and character building.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali said joint efforts for environmental sustainability and student character building could help develop a responsible and environmentally conscious generation.
The partnership aims to combine environmental action with student welfare, encouraging young people to take an active role in protecting the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future.
