GUJRANWALA: The Environmental Protection Department Gujranwala has demolished two active pyrolysis plants for violating environmental laws as part of ongoing efforts to control pollution and strengthen environmental compliance.
The action was taken on the directions of Commissioner Gujranwala and Gujrat Divisions Muhammad Ali and Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Ahmad.
Environmental Protection Department teams carried out the operation in different areas of Kamoke and Sadhoiki tehsils under the supervision of Deputy Director Environment Muhammad Imran Mew.
Officials said the action was part of continuing enforcement against units operating in violation of environmental regulations.
The department said inspections and enforcement actions against non-compliant industrial units will continue to support pollution control and protect the environment.
The operation reflects ongoing efforts to improve environmental compliance and promote a cleaner and healthier environment in the Gujranwala region.
