FAISALABAD: A workshop on environmental challenges brought together 50 young pastors and church leaders in Faisalabad under Phase III of the Green Church Initiative (GCI).
The session focused on the importance of Creation Care and encouraged church leaders to play a greater role in promoting environmental responsibility within their churches and communities.
The workshop featured Jamshed Gill, CCT Lead at Tearfund UK; Eli Sardar, Principal of Bible Correspondence School; and Faiq Sabir, Project Manager at PMS.
Through Biblical reflection, interactive learning and group discussions, participants explored environmental challenges and practical ways to encourage sustainable practices at the community level.
The participants were also introduced to ways churches can support environmental awareness, responsible use of natural resources and local environmental initiatives.
The organisers said the workshop aimed to equip young pastors and church leaders with practical knowledge that they can take back to their churches and communities.
The initiative highlights the role of community and faith-based organisations in building environmental awareness and encouraging collective action for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
