Gujranwala Launches Crackdown on Smoke-Emitting Vehicles

GUJRANWALA: The Traffic Police and Environment Protection Force have launched a joint campaign against smoke-emitting vehicles in Kangniwala to curb vehicular pollution and improve air quality.

The operation is being carried out under the supervision of Deputy Director Environment Engineer Muhammad Imran Mayo and Chief Traffic Officer Wasim Akhtar.

Teams from the Traffic Police and Environment Protection Force are jointly checking vehicles and taking action against those emitting excessive smoke in violation of environmental standards.

The campaign is part of ongoing efforts to control vehicular emissions, reduce air pollution and ensure compliance with environmental regulations across Gujranwala.

Authorities have stressed the importance of maintaining vehicles in proper condition and ensuring that motorists comply with prescribed emission standards to help protect public health and the urban environment.
