D.I. KHAN: The Assistant Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan visited temporary water rescue points established in the district to review the ongoing search and rescue operation following a drowning emergency in the Indus River.
A Rescue 1122 diving team was present at the site and continued its search for the missing youth. The team has been conducting the operation continuously in an effort to locate and recover the victim.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner inspected the rescue operation, safety arrangements and available emergency response resources. He also received a detailed briefing from the rescue personnel regarding the progress of the search.
On the directions of District Emergency Officer Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Arif Khan, the Rescue 1122 diving team continues to conduct the search and rescue operation in the river.
Authorities have urged residents to exercise extreme caution around rivers and other water bodies, particularly during periods of strong currents and changing water levels.
