KARACHI: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Tree Plantation Ambassador, in collaboration with the local community, residents, NGOs and Green Hands of Pakistan, organized a tree plantation drive at Jamia Masjid-e-Rezwan, Sector 5-L, Karachi.
Children, young people and community members actively participated in the plantation activity, highlighting the growing role of communities in environmental conservation and urban greening.
Participants planted trees and reaffirmed their commitment to creating a cleaner, greener and healthier Pakistan. The initiative also aimed to encourage environmental responsibility among young people and promote community-led action for a more sustainable future.
Such plantation activities can help expand urban green spaces, improve local environmental conditions and raise awareness about the importance of trees in tackling climate-related challenges.
The organizers encouraged citizens to take part in plantation activities and, equally importantly, ensure the continued care and protection of newly planted trees.
Plant today. Protect tomorrow. Build a greener Pakistan.
