Sufi Group Launches ‘Green Pakistan – Clean Pakistan’ Campaign with 100,000-Sapling Plantation Drive

LAHORE: Sufi Group of Companies has launched its “Green Pakistan – Clean Pakistan” campaign as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Under the initiative, the company has begun planting 100,000 saplings across targeted areas, aiming to expand green cover and contribute to cleaner air and a healthier environment.

Sufi Group of Companies said it has already planted more than 200,000 trees as part of its ongoing environmental efforts. The latest plantation campaign is intended to further strengthen these initiatives, particularly in addressing air pollution and the impacts of smog.

The campaign focuses on three key objectives: reducing smog, lowering carbon footprints and improving local air quality through increased tree cover.

The company is also adopting a long-term approach to plantation by introducing dedicated post-plantation care and maintenance measures to improve the survival and healthy growth of the saplings.

Sufi Group of Companies said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship. The company aims to contribute to a more sustainable environment while encouraging businesses, communities and citizens to participate in collective efforts to make Pakistan cleaner and greener.

The plantation drive is expected to add to the company’s growing environmental footprint and reinforce the message that tree plantation, when combined with proper maintenance, can play an important role in building climate-resilient and healthier communities.
