ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reportedly fined a man Rs20,000 for wasting water while washing his car outside his residence in Sector G-11/2.
According to the CDA, the action was taken following a complaint from a citizen, along with a video shared on social media showing the alleged wastage of water.
The authority issued a challan against the individual and initiated legal proceedings under the applicable regulations.
The CDA has also warned that similar action may be taken against other individuals found violating water-use regulations or wasting water unnecessarily.
The incident has highlighted the growing importance of water conservation in Islamabad, where authorities have repeatedly urged citizens to use water responsibly and avoid unnecessary consumption.
With increasing pressure on water resources, residents have been encouraged to adopt water-saving practices in their daily lives and prevent wastage wherever possible.
The CDA’s action also reflects the administration’s efforts to promote responsible water use and strengthen public awareness about the importance of conserving the city’s limited water resources.
